About Susan Gutierrez, MDSusan Gutierrez, MD, is a board-certified interventional pain management specialist with her own private practice in San Ramon, Fremont, and Concord, California. She is recognized as one of the leading pain specialists in the Tri-Valley area.
Dr. Gutierrez attended medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Zapopan, Mexico. She then completed her postdoctoral medical training at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, New York, followed by a residency in internal medicine, and another 3-year residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Metropolitan Hospital New York Medical College. Soon after, Dr. Gutierrez completed a pain management fellowship at Integrated Pain Management, Inc, located in Northern California.
Dr. Gutierrez is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain medicine, and by the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Gutierrez is a member of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a Fellow in the World Institute of Pain.
At her private practice, Dr. Gutierrez favors a conservative approach to pain management by limiting your reliance on pharmaceuticals and focusing on your individual needs.
