Mayuri Patel, NPMayuri Patel was born in Canada, raised in Dallas, and is a Texas girl at heart. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at The University of Texas in Arlington in 2001, and she began her nursing career in the Neonatal ICU at Harris Fort Worth. She went on to work at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, working with children from birth to 24 with various acute and chronic illness and disease.
Mayuri has always been fascinated with health over the full lifespan of a patient and after 14 years of working in pediatrics, she decided to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Family Practice.
She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and she enjoys her role with Healthcare Associates of Texas because teaching is her biggest passion and she gets to educate patients of all ages on their health. Mayuri values getting to know her patients and building a long-term patient/provider relationship with them.
Mayuri has two children ages 18 and 12 and a Goldendoodle named Ginger. In her free time, she enjoys a good book and loves outdoor activities, such as enjoying family and friends at sporting events and traveling!
