Starting in 1979, Ed Rader began his career constructing custom homes and commercial buildings. In 1982 he began designing custom decks on homes in Burlington County as part of a project for a commercial client. As a result, Decks Unlimited was born.
Decks Unlimited’s growth makes it one of the longest running deck designers and builders in New Jersey. With 30 years of experience creating custom homes to custom decks, restaurants to school additions, Decks Unlimited is a “first call” for residential projects in South Jersey. Decks Unlimited has designed. built or renewed more than three thousand decks for South Jersey residents since 1978, including access projects for persons with disabilities.
We've found that our clients like to see a range of possibilities along with the related investment. So, we've created four designs: three with a fixed investment (it does make decisions more understandable and a lot easier!) and a fourth for your totally customized Dream Deck.

We are NJ “General Construction and Remodeling--Contractor Lic.# 13VH01066300. All construction in New Jersey is regulated by the State. That means all projects must have plans submitted with the “permit package.” These plans have to, by law, be designed by either the property owner or a Design Professional Architect. Because our team includes a Registered Architect, we enable our customers to meet that requirement without personal involvement and excessive time expenditure.
