Patricia McRae Principal/Director comes with twenty plus years of experience in the Child Care and Private School Industry.Our Mission at Stepping Stone Academy is for students to become life long learners while developing their moral character at the same pace. Our Christian based curriculum revolves around hands-on, active learning experiences that prepare students for real life challenges, problem solving skills, and character development. Together we can build a better society by preparing students to become innovative, self confident, and equipped to handle life's challenges.Our staff consists of dedicated, caring, nurturing, and degreed teachers. Additionally, we have speciality teachers in areas such as music, physical education, entrepreneurship, and performing arts.Our Curriculum places a strong emphasis on reading, writing, and language arts skills, as well as science, social studies, history, health, math, and technology skills. The children have an opportunity to experience many hands on skills. They have daily homework assignments, as well as research, individual projects, group projects, and presentations. We also place strong emphasis on the self-esteem of our students, we teach children as young as two years of age, how to communicate with the audience. This is done through our various programs that we present to the parents throughout the year, Christmas Concerts, Black History Programs, Career Day, and Graduation & Promotional Exercises. The children are taught to speak in front of an audience.
