Renaissance Funeral Home became established with the idea of serving the whole community regardless of culture or faith; and doing so without the traditional associations surrounding funeral homes. This was perfect timing as Raleigh began to see an influx of population from other areas of the country. We are open to all people. Honoring life can be done in so many ways! The way you and your family decide is personal. We have grown accustomed to performing all types of services including traditional Catholic; Hindu funerals with witness cremations; facilitating an overseas burial; or a celebration of life memorial service.
Today, we specialize in cremations with our own exclusive and modern cremation center. This allows families choosing cremation to participate in the experience by simply saying goodbye one last time OR assist with the start of the cremation process. All of this can still be done even if no public services are selected. Previous generations were accustomed to going to a cemetery. The modern option of cremation took the family out of that part of the funeral service. So today, our cremation center allows for families the opportunity to share in that aspect if they wish.
We are experts in natural (green) burials as approved by the Green Burial Council. Having performed many dozens of local green funerals and burials, area families turn to us when it comes to our level of experience. Green burial involves no vault or burial container, no embalming, and a biodegradable casket. It is the most natural way to be buried. It is the way of our ancestors and nowadays a way of protecting the earth and nature. Green cemeteries become nature parks as they preserve habitat for wildlife. We are big advocates of green burial as we love the idea of this option. The Triangle is lucky enough to have several green burial cemetery options.
