Marcel was first introduced to the practice of permanent cosmetics by having a procedure performed on herself. She was very pleased with the results and has since loved being able to lead an active lifestyle without worrying about re-applying her makeup. Intrigued by the process as well, Marcel earned both her certification and license as a Permanent Cosmetic Artist through Facial Concepts in Laguna Beach with Victoria Velasquez, who is a highly reputable trainer and artist in the field. Marcel completed an internship with Stacy Gross-Eldredge, who is yet another experienced and talented cosmetic artist who is well-known in the South Bay and as the specialist who did her own work. Marcel continues to expand her craft by becoming certified in areola tattooing with the Beau Institute, and by studying advanced techniques with Alexis Lawson, who is the developer of Softap and Tattoo Vanish. An artist for over 30 years with an M.A. in Biomedical Illustration, Marcel brings a precision for detail, a steady and confident hand, and an understanding of color theory and facial anatomy. Marcel is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with a calm demeanor and will teach relaxation techniques for a gentle experience.
