Dr. Michele Dehnert, an attending physician at Staten Island University Hospital, is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr.
Dehnert evaluates and provides treatment for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental disabilities and behavioral difficulties including delayed development (speech, motor skills, learning); learning problems; autism spectrum disorder; attention & behavioral disorders (ADHD, oppositional-defiant disorder, conduct problems, depression, anxiety, tics, habit disorders); and regulatory disorders (difficulties with the following: sleep, feeding, discipline, toilet training). She is part of a team of providers that includes a second developmental pediatrician, two nurse practitioners, and a clinical psychologist. The team runs a large psychotropic medication practice, with expertise in optimizing medication management in developmentally disabled children and adolescents.
